MINARCSHE - SUSHI (Music Video by Iacopo Di Girolamo)
This is film maker Iacopo Di Girolamo's artistic vision of our Song "Sushi" of our debut album "Songs To The Other Side". We thank him and all involved for makingSushi come to life so beautifully! (Please read directors description below). “Naples is a city divided between astonishing nature and an incredible high-density of abandoned poor suburban neighbourhoods. The sun is what ties the two worlds together and finally restores harmony between them. We've decided to skip the usual views of Naples' sea and instead show Mount Vesuvius from an unusual perspective: inside its woods. We've also skipped the historical city centre and we've moved into the suburban areas of Ponticelli and Barra, two neighbourhoods sadly known for their criminal records. However, these neighbourhoods are also populated by an enormous number of teenagers and children which, for many social reasons, have difficulties in conducting an acceptable life and are completely deprived of a happy future. We also wanted to skip the usual, often mistaken view of these kids as ferocious gangsters, but we wanted to show the place and the tough conditions in which they're forced to live in. This video was shot at zero budget. What moved me to do so was my love for Minarcshe's music, but I've also seen it as a chance to realise a video work with the help of some of the young citizens from these neighbourhoods, who helped me in every aspect of the production, especially “behind the camera”. Except from myself there were no professionals involved in this project and the oldest person on the set was 20-years-old. This was all love for creation.“ Iacopo Di Girolamo - director Credits: Shot, directed and edited by Iacopo Di Girolamo Starring: Roberta Cerrone and Michele D'Avino Written by Daniele Ciniglio and Iacopo Di Girolamo Producer and assistant director: Daniele Ciniglio Production assistants: Antonio Bosso, Mattia Formicola and Michelangelo Ravone
